Lucky Sibanda

He is a holder of a Bachelor of Technology in Business Administration (cum laude) from Cape Peninsula University of Technology (June 2014). He also holds a Diploma in Entrepreneurship (cum laude) – a course majoring in Small Business Management and Financial Management (Cape Town, South Africa, in Africa). He has varied basic experience stretching from engineering, office work, retail and to the provision of tuition gained from the period of 2005 up to date.

A long overdue passion to impart knowledge assisted him to establish Supreme Educators (a tuition offering institution towards major course subjects for students) in November 2011. The experience gained through the assistance of peer students in any of the subjects in his first year and second year strengthens him to keep on going. His experience spans back in 2005 when he was one of the individuals who volunteered to assist a group of students towards their National Examination. In 2008, he was also part of the volunteers once again to assist students at a local church who were also sitting for their National Examination. In 2010, he was among a team of CPUT Entrepreneurship peer learners who helped other students in core courses: Small Business Management and Financial Management (including Pastel Accounting) also in End User Computing. He holds a Certificate in Pastel Partner (Intermediate) Version 11 (Globally recognized) from Pastel Partner.

He is an engineering apprenticeship drop-out (from June 2007 to Jan 2010) to start a new career in entrepreneurship. He trained as an apprentice in Mechanical Engineering where he got sound basics in the field. During this period, he obtained a National Certificate in Machineshop Engineering in 2008 (Bulawayo Polytechnic). It was during his college time when he represented other apprentices as a class representative at Treger Technical College in 2008.

Prior to this, he worked on a fixed contract as an Office Orderly from the period of January 2007 to March 2007 at National and Social Security Authority (NSSA) in Bulawayo which marked as his first job after finishing his advanced level of education in 2006.

On semester breaks, he serves as a Shop Assistance such as the period between December 2011 to January 2012 (Nkalangasyuka Store in Lusulu – Zimbabwe) responsible for making supplies for stock and managing distribution to the designated point. This requires of him making some purchases from the neighbouring country – Botswana.

Apart from his studies, he has other commitments. He is a Co-founding member and Chief Administrator of Meteors Entrepreneurs Club which was formed in April 2011. He has also partnered with three individuals and registered Siphulutho Holdings pty company, a South African registered and based company which he oversee the marketing section of the company. As part of the course requirement for practical experience, he interned as a Market Research at Africa Report where is gained international business principles– Cape Town (March to June 2012).

In 2013, he was invited to join the Golden Key International Honour Society after being ranked among the top 15% university graduates for 2013. He also participated at an international level on business proposal writing in 2013 with team of 8 members from New Zealand, Nigeria, Colombia and Netherlands within 21 days. He also completed an Assessors Course in November 2013 and a certificate of completion in Oracle SQL 12g.
